Well, I told them! Your sweet babies now know about my sweet baby! The kids were so excited! Weston said, "Mrs. Sweeney, I'm so glad that you have a baby in your belly!" How cute! I told the kids about how big the baby is and how it has fingers and toes, and how eventually when I read them a story, my baby will be able to hear it too! That had to have been the best part! And, just so you know, when Dylan asked how the baby gets out, I said that God gets it out. Some things are better left unsaid! :)

Olympics
Our LES student council has asked all classes to participate in LES Olympics! Our country is the Bahamas! Yay!
For the Olympics, we get points on how many children participate in certain activities. On this Friday, the children can wear pajamas to school! The more kids participate, the better our score! And, the best part--- I'll be able to fit into those pants! HA!

UP, UP, AND AWAY
Greetings, Earthlings! These past 2 weeks, as I'm sure you have heard, we have been studying about space. The kids have really loved learning about things beyond them! I have been tracking what they know with a KWL chart (what they KNOW, what they WANT to know, and what they LEARNED) and I have really enjoyed adding to it and watching them change their thoughts! On Friday, I'm hoping to lauch our "space shuttles" down the hallway as they are dressed as astronauts! We will be measuring their distances with moon boots! So fun! Remember, if you have any questions about standards or rationales, please let me know!
